Wisdom
Wisdom describes a character's willpower, common sense, perception, and intuition. While intelligence represents one's ability to analyse information, Wisdom represents being in tune with and aware of one's surroundings. An "absentminded professor" has low Wisdom and high Intelligence. A simpleton (low Intelligence) might still have great insight (high Wisdom). Wisdom is the most important ability for clerics, druids and spirit shamans, and it is also important for paladins and rangers. If you want your character to have acute senses, put a high score in Wisdom. Every creature has a Wisdom score.

In game, Wisdom...
- Increases will saving throws.
- Increases heal, listen, spot and survival checks.
- Affects a cleric's, druid's, paladin's, spirit shaman's and ranger's spell DC, the maximum level of spells he can cast, and bonus (if any) spells.
- Affects a favored soul's spell DC.
- Affects various monk class abilities.

Characters with high wisdom are usually...
- Elders
- Philosophers
- Shamans
- Priests

Wisdom should effect your character and how they are roleplayed in a number of ways, such as...
- How well they perceive and judge.
- How insightful they are to situations and other things.
- How sensible of decisions they make and how they see them effecting themselves in the near or far future.

Characters with high wisdom are able to perceive and judge things well, are more insightful and intuitive, and ultimately see the consequences and reactions of the actions they and their peers make.

Charisma
Charisma measures a character's force of personality, persuasiveness, personal magnetism, ability to lead, and physical attractiveness. This ability represents actual strength of personality, not merely how one is perceived by others in a social setting. Charisma is most important for paladins, favored souls, sorcerers, and bards. It is also important for clerics and blackguards, since it affects their ability to turn undead, and is important for spirit shamans and warlocks as it affects some of their spell DC's. Every creature has a Charisma score.

In game, Charisma...
- Increases bluff, diplomacy, intimidate, perform and use magic device checks.
- Affects a sorcerer's and bard's spell DC, the maximum level of spells he can cast, and bonus (if any) spells.
- Affects a spirit shaman's and warlock's spell/invocation DC.
- Affects a favored soul's maximum level of spells he can cast, and bonus (if any) spells.
- Affects turning checks for clerics, paladins, and blackguards attempting to turn undead (and other types for special domain clerics)

Characters with high charisma are usually...
- Leaders
- Merchants
- Outspoken
- Preachers

Charisma should effect your character and how it is roleplayed in a number of ways, such as...
- How much influence they can hold over others.
- How well they lead others.
- How (to a small extent) physically attractive they are.
- How strong their personality tends to be.

Characters with high charisma are able to influence others into doing things, are able to lead groups well and tend to have a very strong personality. They also tend to attract others' attention with their exhuberent personalities.

Attractiveness
While not an attribute, strictly speaking, attractiveness is an aspect that makes up your character. For the most part, people often tend to confuse Charisma and Attractiveness, when they are actually very different things. Charisma does, however, influence attractiveness, but it is not attractiveness as a whole.

There are several reasons as to why this is so.
- Races like elves are supposedly more attractive, yet they do not gain a bonus to their charisma score.
- Shy, unsociable people can still be attractive to the eye.
- Charisma governs force of personality, persuasiveness and personal magnetism. The attractive bonus from having a high charisma comes from being a more noticable and outspoken person.
- It is possible to have a high charisma and be very persuasive with your words and gestures, yet be unattractive to the eye.

Thus, you may play a charismatic, yet unattractive character, an attractive, yet uncharismatic character, or average in both fields. However, do keep in mind that attractiveness is not only physical, and a character with higher charisma is more likely to be more attractive, and more likely to know how to use it.

Physical characteristics may also slightly govern some aspects of physical attractiveness. The muscliness of a character is obviously determined by strength, the movements of a character, by dexterity, and the fitness of a character, by constitution. A fatter character is also more likely to have a lower constitution, due to lack of fitness, etc. (If that's why they're fat)

However, do remember that if your character is trying to charm their way into seeming attractive, they need the higher charisma to back them up.
